Introducing the MiniMod Sonic XV, a revolutionary Eurorack module featuring a four-pole Diode Ladder Filter inspired by the classic Musonics Sonic V synthesizer. Unlike traditional transistor ladder filters, the Sonic XV delivers a unique character with its distinctive 24dB Low Pass, 6dB Low Pass, and Bandpass outputs.

Experience enhanced sound versatility with integrated waveshapers. A breakpoint-based wavefolder on the input offers manual and voltage-controlled drive, while a bias control switch provides additional waveshape variations. The secondary waveshaper, connected to the resonance circuit, introduces distortion and waveshaping, adjustable through manual or voltage control, with a wet/dry mix for tailored resonance shaping.

The Sonic XV transcends traditional filtering with its harmonic filter capabilities, enabling complex filtering and waveshaping via four independent CV inputs. Rooted in a design by Eugene Zumchak, this diode ladder filter boasts a distinct character, reminiscent of the Roland 303 and EMS Synthi A, yet unique in its own sonic footprint.
