BoredBrain Spdf
Description
Spdf is a cutting-edge digital signal encoder and decoder for eurorack modular synthesizers. Seamlessly convert analog audio and CV signals to and from the S/PDIF format for effortless integration with computer audio interfaces and other S/PDIF-enabled devices.
S/PDIF Encoding & Decoding: Unlock the potential of your audio interfaces with unused S/PDIF ports. Spdf converts a 2-channel S/PDIF signal into discrete analog outputs, and vice versa, ensuring high-quality digital interconnection. Whether using bi-directional or uni-directional setups, Spdf adapts to your interface’s capabilities.
Versatile Connections: Beyond computers, Spdf connects to various S/PDIF-equipped gear, from keyboards and samplers to digital speakers and consumer electronics. Ensure optimal signal transmission with 75 Ω digital coaxial cables.
Analog I/O: Featuring DC-coupled inputs and outputs, Spdf handles DC signals like control voltages, compatible with software like Bitwig Studio and Ableton CV Tools. For audio signals, select AC-coupling to remove DC offsets with a high-pass filter. Enjoy low-noise performance with carefully designed circuitry.
Synchronization Settings: Operate Spdf at 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz sample clock rates. Configure settings with rear DIP switches to select DC/AC coupling and internal/external clock sync.
