Description

The Optx v2 is a cutting-edge ADAT lightpipe converter designed for eurorack modular synthesizers, offering bi-directional encoding/decoding of 8 analog inputs/outputs. Powered by high-performance Cirrus Logic converters, this module ensures ultra-low noise and exceptional signal fidelity.

With self-calibrating CV input mode, Optx v2 provides precise accuracy and near-zero offset. Its internal sample clock enables standalone operation and seamless interconnection of two Optx modules without ADAT input. Dual LEDs on each output provide clear signal strength and polarity indication.

The next generation of ADAT conversion, Optx v2 enhances eurorack systems by converting 8-channel ADAT signals to discrete analog signals and vice versa. Utilize software like Bitwig Studio or Ableton CV Tools for comprehensive audio and control voltage integration, including 1V/oct pitch and gate signals.

Equipped with professional-grade Cirrus Logic converters, Optx v2 boasts maximum dynamic range and minimal distortion. Its precise level scaling and DC-coupled outputs support both audio and CV signals. Switchable input modes ensure optimal conversion for audio and CV signals, with self-calibration for improved accuracy.

For seamless sample clock synchronization, Optx v2 can sync to an external ADAT input or generate its own stable clock. Configure using dip switches to select between internal or external sync, and adjust the sample rate to 44.1 or 48 kHz.

Patch Tips:
CV/Gate/Mod & Audio Returns: Use CV-capable software to send pitch, gate, and modulation signals to Optx outputs. Patch them into a 1V/oct oscillator, envelope gate input, and filter cutoff control. Return audio signals to Optx inputs for DAW integration.
Drum Triggers & Audio Returns: Send up to 8 drum triggers to Optx outputs using a drum rack in CV-capable software. Patch into drum modules, and return audio signals to Optx inputs for mixing and processing.
